Simon Munnery

Simon Munnery has a brilliant gift, for he can make you really think about the intricate ways the world works while you’re still in the process of falling off your seat from laughing. He relays anecdotes in a way no other comedian really dares to try, throwing in almost Confucian wisdoms and strikingly accurate theories the average person would simply never conjure.

Though he sometimes seems to look at the world through slightly weary eyes, his observations are streaked through with affection for the eccentricities of life and the beauty of the world. He takes a step back, looking into the bigger picture. You will never find an “aren’t men and women different” but you’re sure to find an “aren’t people different” observation.

Whether he’s hiding behind the mask (or bucket) of one of his characters, you can rest assured that Munnery will leave you with something. Be it a stomachache from laughter or a new insight to the world, you can be sure to leave with more than you came in with.
