Earl E. Stevens (Paul Putner)

“Earl E Stevens is an American comedian who clearly hasn’t done his research. Referencing obscure American pop culture as the punch lines of most of his gags never fails to make the audience leave the building. He also, annoyingly, can’t keep his fucking head still. Avoid.”

…is what the review would say if Earl E. Stevens was real. Thankfully, he is not, for he is the comedy creation of Paul Putner (it’s easier to say what he HASN’T been in).

What we see, is an unashamedly cruel send-up of all the American comedians you’ve ever seen. His mannerisms are perfect, literally running into each punchline… before hitting a brick wall.

The only problem with this character is that it’s SO real and sometimes, people don’t realise it’s Paul Putner in a nylon wig, making the crowds reaction the same as if Earl was the real deal.
