Mitch Benn

Musical comedy can be difficult to pull off, but Mitch Benn does it with style and not a little talent thrown in for good measure. The actual songs he delivers may not be the most original (a point he himself addresses in his first song of the night “Smarmy twat changes the words in famous songs, how hard can that be?”) but Mitch knits them together with a stand up routine so finely crafted it’s hard to see the joins.

He builds each laugh expertly with his mix of self-deprecation and social commentary and while you are reeling from the crescendo of laughter, he will launch into a song, the song too building to a melodiously hilarious climax that leaves the audience begging for more
