Gina is an everywoman, treating the audience as equals and welcoming them to her bosom. Though even though she is so down to earth, you’ll never see her in Lidl. A lot of her set is very obviously improvised as she interacts heavily with the audience and though she veers into stereotypical black vs. white territory quite a lot, it is with such a fondness that you can’t help warm to her. This is a woman proud of her Nigerian roots, she’s not using them for any sort of agenda, she’s simply letting you a little further into her world.
