The Mighty Boosh Series 2

They're back!

Dispite the bizzare ill-treatment the BBC gave the first series of Barratt and Fielding's ingenius outings, Tonight sees the return of Howard Moon and VInce Noir to our screens after what feels like far too long.

Ok, it's only been a year between series, but such is the addictive quality of their adventures that even a week without them on our screens can feel like a lifetime.

On screen, a lot has changed, the Zooniverse has been abandoned (Presumably replaced by a road or somesuch) meaning they don't have the restriction of the set, or indeed the uniforms. Also missing this time around is the pre and post show messing around in front of the curtains which, though missed, means they have more time to concentrate on the story at hand.

What hasn't changed, however, is the delightful bizzareness of it, with cameos from the Moon "Shining in the sky like a big white fist) and the return of Naboo and the formerlly deceaced ape Bollo, this year's set of capers are off to a fantastic start before they even leave their kitchly decorated flat.

Now, when I come to review something I absoloutely adore, I usually try to come up with soemthing negative, jsut for balance, but in this case I really can't, even the possible void left by Bob Fossil is filled with Rich Fulcher turning up in unexpected places and pulling his comedy punches with as much gusto as ever.

In short, it freakin' rocks!

The Mighty Boosh is back on your screens from 27th July on BBC3 at 11pm. You can also watch the episodes a week early through BBC3's new Media streamer if you ahve broadband here
