Mitch Benn and The Distractions: Too Late to Cancel

Each time we see Mitch Benn he just keeps getting better, and his only London date at Oxford Street's 100 Club is no exception. With the superb backing of his band The Distractions, Mitch provides an evening of thoroughly enjoyable entertainment that's to first class standard the whole way through. If musical comedy is a hard business to get right, Mitch and The Distractions make it look effortless.

They prove their musical prowess by throwing in a cover of Teenage Kicks (dedicated to John Peel) and a Hendrix-style version of an old Mitch Benn favourite, Crap Shag, by no means letting down the musical precedents of the acclaimed venue.

As comedians, they're perfect. As musicians, they're better. Quite simply, if you haven't seen them yet, then what the bloody hell are you waiting for?
